Enjoy amazing wingfoil or wakefoil sessions every day! These two complementary activities are perfect for progressing quickly and discovering new sensations.
At Croatia’s number 1 spot, the conditions are exceptional. The warm waters and glide zones between the islands offer a beautiful setting, suitable for both beginners and more experienced riders. As soon as the wind picks up, it’s the ideal time for a wingfoil session. And when the wind calms down, you can take the opportunity to work on your first flights, balance, and perfect your maneuvers. Whatever the activity of the day, your instructor will always be there to support and guide you through every step of your progress.
Your instructor will organize the week based on each student’s level and the weather conditions. A maximum of six students per instructor is planned.
If the student is able to ride upwind, they will be able to use their equipment independently. Beginners will often start in pairs to make it easier to learn how to start on the water, with a shared wing between two people.
This method allows for quickly acquiring essential wingfoil skills, such as setting up the equipment, managing the wing in the air, starting from the water, and understanding safety rules specific to the sport.
Wingfoil is complemented by wakefoil (foil towed by a boat), a very similar and complementary activity. Mastering one helps progress in the other. For example, succeeding in wakefoil helps with wingfoil flying, and vice versa.
The program includes:
- 12 hours of wingfoil (3 afternoons of 4 hours)
- 4 hours of wing preparation and theory (2 mornings)
- 4 wakefoil sessions (20 minutes per session)
If the wind conditions do not allow for wingfoil practice, the activity will be replaced by towed foil or another activity.

Program
Day 1 (Friday) – Check-in at the hotel from 2 PM.
Day 2 (Saturday) – Morning (9:30 AM – 12 PM): The instructor will start by outfitting you (wetsuit, helmet, etc.). Then, you’ll head to the beach to prepare the equipment and have a theory session.
Afternoon (2 PM – 6 PM): You’ll take a boat ride to the spot. Onboard, you’ll do some exercises to review safety rules, such as how to bring your board back with the wing in case of problems. You’ll alternate between sessions every 20-30 minutes to rest, observe your partner, and identify areas for improvement or strengths.
Day 3 (Sunday) – Morning (8 AM – 12 PM): Wakefoil – While your instructor takes half of the group for towed foil, the other half will relax in a nice cove on an island and do some snorkeling. Once the other group finishes, you’ll switch roles, and it’s your turn! The goal of the session will be to experience your first sensations of flight.
Afternoon (2 PM – 5 PM): Wakefoil.
Day 4 (Monday) – Morning: Free time.
Afternoon: Departure by boat to a small paradise spot, just minutes from the main spot, for a swim and a picnic. Once the wind picks up, get ready for a long afternoon of wingfoil. After returning, the hotel pool will be waiting for you to relax.
Day 5 (Tuesday) – Rest and relaxation day.
Day 6 (Wednesday) –

About the Stay
Practical Tips:
Given the program, we recommend bringing comfortable hiking shoes and a small backpack for the hikes. Since the beaches are made of pebbles, it may also be helpful to bring water shoes. As the sun can be quite strong, we suggest packing a cap or hat, as well as sunglasses.
For your comfort, don’t forget to bring a small first aid kit with your personal medications, insect repellent, organic sunscreen (to respect the local fauna and flora), etc.
As the sun rises early in Croatia, we also recommend bringing a sleep mask to avoid being woken up by the first rays of sunlight.
We are gradually adopting a sustainable development approach, and in order to limit plastic use, we encourage you to bring your own water bottle (1.5 L) if you have one.
And most importantly, don’t forget your swimsuit!
How to reach Lumbarda?
